PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery mounting structure for a motor vehicle capable of preventing collision against vehicle equipment at a rear side by allowing a battery to turn in a plan view upon head-on collision of the vehicle. SOLUTION: In the battery mounting structure for the motor vehicle, a vehicle part (14) is arranged adjacent to a rear side of the battery (20) and a suspension tower (10) is formed at an outer side in a vehicle width direction than the battery. The structure has a battery receiving part (24) for placing the battery; and a battery clamp (34) for fixing the battery so as to downwardly press an upper surface of the battery. An upper part of an outer side in a vehicle width direction of the battery clamp is connected to an upper surface part of the suspension tower. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
