<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid ejection device cooling temperature-increase portions such as a tube and a control substrate with a simple and easy constitution, also, while ejecting the liquid from a liquid ejection head, and to provide an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid ejection device 1 of the present invention including a carriage 7 equipped with the liquid ejection head 5 and moving in a main scanning direction, is configured to eject the liquid to a recording medium and record an image. The carriage 7 includes a gas inlet 27 opening in the main scanning direction, and a gas outlet 29 communicating with the gas inlet 27 so as to cool the temperature-increase portions in the device with the gas current flowing in through the gas inlet 27 with the movement of the carriage 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
