<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which simply, efficiently applies a coating liquid, with uniform film thickness, to a cylindrical base layer, and also to provide a device therefor. <P>SOLUTION: A device suitable for conducting the method by using a coating device having a liquid tank which accommodates a coating liquid, a coating mechanism which applies the coating liquid to a cylindrical base layer and a coating liquid-feeding mechanism which feeds the coating liquid to the coating mechanism from the liquid tank includes the following steps: a step in which a tubular elastic material, which is elastic and whose diameter becomes larger toward both its sides from its middle part in the length direction, is used as a part which comes into contact with the cylindrical base layer of the coating mechanism, and the coating liquid is fed to the elastic material by the coating liquid-feeding mechanism, and a pressurizing medium is fed to the inside of the elastic material to expand the elastic material, and, under the condition, the elastic material contacts the peripheral surface of the cylindrical base layer to apply the coating liquid to the peripheral surface of the cylindrical base layer; and a step in which the cylindrical base layer is continuously detached from the elastic material toward both end sides from the middle of the cylindrical base layer while discharging the pressurizing medium from the inside of the elastic material after the coating liquid is applied to the cylindrical base layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
