PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the work of installing sound-absorbing plates between supports from one side of a protective fence has been difficult and connect the sound-absorbing plates while being bent along the horizontal alignment and gradient of a road. SOLUTION: A sound-absorbing structure includes the sound-absorbing plates provided with a function to absorb noise; a fixing band for connecting ends of adjacent sound-absorbing plates to each other; and a support cover mounted to the fixing band. A sound-absorbing plate comprises a sound-absorbing plate main body housing a sound-absorbing material inside and connecting ends provided in such a way as to extend in the direction of extension of the sound-absorbing plate body from both ends of the sound-absorbing plate body. The connecting ends are provided for a section close to one surface of the sound-absorbing plate body. The fixing band comprises a member having an opening of a size capable of surrounding a support of the protective fence. Each end of the fixing band on the opening side is provided with a flange, and the flange of the fixing band is connected to a connecting end of the sound-absorbing plate. The back side of the fixing band is positioned on the other surface side of the sound-absorbing plate. The support cover is mounted to the back side of the fixing band. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
