PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of a wound-type secondary battery, related to the wound-type secondary battery and a vehicle equipped with the wound-type secondary battery. SOLUTION: In the secondary battery 100A, a wound electrode body 10A is housed in a battery case 31 with wound openings 46, 47 of both sides oriented sideways. In the wound electrode body 10A, at least bottom end regions of the wound openings 46, 47 are bonded. The bonded portions can hold part of an electrolytic solution in the wound electrode body 10A even if charge and discharge are repeatedly performed. Thus, it is possible to secure, in the wound electrode body 10A, an amount of a chemical specie which serves an electric charge carrier suitable for exhibiting a desired function as the secondary battery.
