PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a route to a set destination via a temporary destination and arouse and encourage users' interest in health. SOLUTION: A route guidance apparatus of performing guidance regarding a route to a specified destination is provided with a means for setting a temporary destination, present within a prescribed distance from the destination on the basis of the destination; a means for searching for a route to the temporary destination from the location of the self-route guidance apparatus and a route to the destination from the temporary destination; a means for computing a health promotion index on health promotion, on the basis of the route to the destination from the temporary destination; a means for presenting a route, from the location of the self-route guidance apparatus for the destination via the temporary destination with a corresponding health promotion index; and a means for storing a selected route and a health promotion index presented according to the route.
