PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backboard receiver with high accuracy in changing posture to a state where a flat part faces downward and capable of preventing a backboard from getting damaged. SOLUTION: The backboard receiver receives the backboard 30 with an approximately half-moon-shaped cross section having a flat part 30b and an arcuate part 30a. It includes a hook member 31, a swinging means 32 for swinging the hook member 31 around its base end and a receiving means 33 for receiving the backboard 30. The hook member 31 has a tip hook part 31a locked from downward to the lower corner 30c of the horizontally placed backboard 30 so that the flat part 31b forms an approximately vertical surface. The swinging means 32 swings the hook member 31 around its base end to face the flat part 30b of the backboard 30 downward.
