PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a draining pump preventing further certainly contact of the drain water with a metal part of a motor part even in the case where drain water flowing backward from a drain pipe to a pump part overflows from the pump part and is scattered. SOLUTION: A circumferential surface 6a and a bottom surface 6b of an output shaft 6 of a motor part are covered with an insulating covering layer 30 in a portion lower than a drain plate 11. Even if drain water flowing backward from a drain pipe is scattered toward the drain plate 11 at the time operation of a drain pump in such a case that the output shaft 6 is charged due to breakage of insulation of a coil of the motor part of the draining pump, since the output shaft 6 is not contacted with the drain water owing to the covering layer 30 covering the output shaft 6, current leakage through the drain water is prevented.
