<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently discharge air flow from a cooking container in an island type kitchen. <P>SOLUTION: The island type kitchen has a ventilating unit 220 arranged directly on a kitchen table 11 and having a range hood 221 opening downward and an exhaust opening 222 discharging the heated air flow from the cooking container 20, a flow straightening plate 232 spaced apart from the end portion of the opening and covering the center of the opening, a plurality of shutters 231 arranged in a suction port 237 in series formed between the periphery of the flow straightening plate 232 and the end of the opening, a control block 300 openably and closably controlling the respective shutters 231 independently from others, and a smoke sensor 303 detecting the arrival position of the air flow from the cooking container 20 in the suction port 237, and the control block 300 opens at least a shutter 231 proximal to the arrival position detected by the smoke sensor 303. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
