<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology inhibiting emission of NO<SB>2</SB>to an outside in an exhaust emission control device for an internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: This device is provided with an oxidation catalyst 6 provided in an exhaust gas passage 2 of the internal combustion engine at most downstream and forming NO<SB>2</SB>, and an electric heater 9 provided in the exhaust gas passage 2 at a downstream of the oxygen catalyst 6 forming NO<SB>2</SB>and converting NO<SB>2</SB>in the exhaust gas to NO by heating the exhaust gas. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
