<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a print system capable of outputting a printed matter while adding tags to certain pages of the printed matter at certain positions and with certain sizes with certain printout contents. <P>SOLUTION: When a printer 2 receives a print job from a personal computer 1, it refers to page size information and tag position information included in the received print job, and selects a continuous paper most suitable for laying out the tags and the image of each page on the continuous paper in such a way that the longitudinal direction of the tags is perpendicular to the direction in which the continuous paper is conveyed. The tags and the image of each page are printed in the above arrangement on the selected continuous paper.
