The present invention comprises a method for the preservation of garments, which prepares them for a suitable cleaning process starting with the correct classification of the garment depending on the fibres content of the fabric thereof. The analysis of the garment design regarding the attachments or embroiders thereof is also included as well as a process for preserving garments with the support of a base for avoiding deformations within a multilayer polarized antistatic bag where vacuum and a nitrogen injection ensure the garment to maintain its original state through time. The invention is therefore a novel method where three phenomena damaging fabric through time are recognized: light, humidity and dirt, thus successfully isolating garments from them, since they are consciously cleaned and packed in a polarized sealed bag which do not allow sun or artificial light to enter.
