<p>The invention relates to a container made of EPS, in particular a cup for filling machines or vending machines, being of conical or truncated-pyramid form and having a lip (2) along the free periphery and a possibly multi-layered sheet material arranged on the outer lateral surface, wherein the sheet material, during production of the container, is inserted in the female part of the mould as a lost core and backfilled with EPS. The invention is characterized in that the sheet material consists of paper with, in relation to the weight of the paper, at least 3 per cent by weight of potato starch in the filling material. In one configuration, the lip (2) is flattened in its uppermost region and forms an annular, or polygonal, planar surface (8) which is located in a plane normal to the container axis (9).</p> |
