PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an insulating stick configured so that the synchro-terminal of a hot shoe provided in a camera body and the terminal of a strobo body can be electrically connected and the other camera terminal and the terminal of a strobo not corresponding to the camera terminal are not connected, so that light is flashed in a camera even by a strobo made by other manufacturer, and to use an insulating stick body by being hung around a neck or the like. SOLUTION: The insulating stick is constituted of: the camera body; the hot shoe which is erected on the upper surface of the camera body and to which the shoe clip of external equipment such as the strobo or the like is attached so as to be inserted; the synchro-terminal and the camera terminal which are provided to be exposed on the bottom part of the hot shoe; the insulating stick body which has a size to be inserted in the hot shoe, and which has an opening only for the synchro-terminal of the hot shoe and covers the camera terminal when it is inserted; and a shoe ring of the strobo body which can be inserted in the hot shoe in a layered structure with the insulating stick body.
