PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a target substance detecting element having high nonspecific adsorption preventing capability, a target substance-detecting kit, and a structure composing the target substance detecting element. SOLUTION: This structure comprises a substrate and the polymer of a monomer which exists on the surface of the substrate and is represented by general formula (1). A target substance-detecting element that uses the structure and a target substance-detecting kit are formed.
