TRANSFER BELT DEVICE, METHOD OF ASSEMBLING THE SAME, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer belt device for enhancing a degree of freedom in design by effectively positioning biasing members in a dead space inside a transfer belt.

SOLUTION: The transfer belt device is provided with: rollers which are arranged in parallel and include a tension roller 11; a pair of supporting members 23a and 23b which rotatably support both ends of the rollers; the transfer belt 12 which is stretched on the rollers and is rotationally driven; and the biasing members 26a and 26b which apply a tension to the transfer belt 12 by biasing the tension roller 11 in a prescribed direction. The biasing members 26a and 26b apply the tension to the transfer belt in a straight-line direction almost parallel to the plane part of the transfer belt 12 (a direction parallel to the surface in an extending direction which is opposite to the rollers, of the transfer belt) and arranged in an area surrounded by the pair of supporting members 23a and 23b and the transfer belt 12 in a direction of traversing from one supporting member 23a (23b) to the other supporting member 23b (23a).
