PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape printing device in which a folded and fixed tray member can be easily opened by a small load. SOLUTION: The upper end of one side of a discharge tray 48 has a locking lug 62 whose cross-sectional shape is square and extended outward as almost high as an engaging lug 58 formed at a base end. The locking lug 62 is fitted into a through hole 63 formed at the base end side of a side wall 49 when the discharge tray 48 is turned inward. The left side of the upper edge of the discharge tray 48 has a nearly U-shaped finger inserting portion 65 into which a finger tip can be inserted, and which is notched inward. When the discharge tray 48 is pulled forward by inserting the finger tip into the finger inserting portion 65, the engagement of the locking lug 62 and the through hole 63 is easily released, and the discharge tray 48 can be turned outward and opened.
