PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous film capable of inhibiting cracks at formation of wiring on the surface of a substrate to improve its printability and adhesion. SOLUTION: The porous film comprises a thin film obtained from a coating liquid comprising an agglomerate particle-containing matter (A) containing 10-100 mass% agglomerate particles having an average particle size within the range of 70-3,000 nm and, as a binder, a condensate (B) comprising a repeating unit of the formula: M-O (wherein M is silicon, titanium, zirconium or aluminum) obtained by subjecting an alkoxide compound to a hydrolysis-condensation reaction as a main backbone, provided that the agglomerate particles are formed by binding together two or more primary particles which comprise a specific metal oxide and have an average particle size within the range of 2-200 nm. The porous film has pores formed on its surface, provided that the average major axis length of the pores is larger than the average particle size of the primary particles composing the agglomerate particles.
