摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce torque shock when a supercharging mode is changed over. <P>SOLUTION: An engine 200 is provided with a twin turbocharger 300 including a primary turbocharger 310 including a turbine 311 provided in a primary exhaust passage 212 and a secondary turbocharger 320 including a turbine 320 including a turbine 321 provided in a secondary exhaust passage 213. The supercharging mode is changed over between a single supercharging mode and a twin supercharging mode according to an open close condition of the secondary exhaust change over valve 340 provided in the secondary exhaust passage 213. A primary exhaust change over valve 330 adjusting exhaust gas flow rate of the primary exhaust passage 212 is provided in the primary exhaust passage 212, the primary exhaust change over valve 330 and the secondary exhaust change over valve 340 are controlled to intermediate openings respectively when the supercharging mode is changed over to the twin supercharging mode from the single supercharging mode.
