PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a starting current reliably while reducing power consumption relatively. SOLUTION: When a supply voltage Vdd builds up, a MOS transistor M1 produces a current to switch on a MOS transistor M4 and then a MOS transistor M5, which in turn supplies a starting current to a bandgap circuit 10. When the bandgap circuit 10 is started, a current depending on a constant current through the bandgap circuit 10 flows through a MOS transistor M6 and then a MOS transistor M7 to switch off a MOS transistor M2 and then the MOS transistor M5.
