Provided is an electro-acoustic converter which can perform a ventilation test by putting a gas through a waterproof film while the waterproof film is attached to the electro-acoustic converter. In the electro-acoustic converter which has a casing having a sound hole and a diaphragm disposed in the casing, the sound hole is covered with the waterproof film to constitute a closed space, which is communicated with the outside through a ventilation test hole.
