PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas recirculation device for an internal combustion engine capable of inhibiting rise of combustion temperature with EGR gas of appropriate quantity by arranging EGR gas at an effective position. SOLUTION: A flap is provided at a head part 15a of an intake valve 15. When an opening part 12a of an intake port 12 is opened by the intake valve 15, flow of gas containing EGR gas introduced to the intake port 12 is divided into a plurality of flows by using the flap.
