PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To usefully expand the range of application of a vacuum cleaner by allowing the vacuum cleaner to perform wipe-off cleaning with a sheet wound around an electric brush built in a suction nozzle in the vacuum cleaner. SOLUTION: The rotary brush 25 is rotated in a prescribed direction at a prescribed rotation speed by a brush motor 44 to wind the sheet 50 around the surface of the rotary brush 25. The rotary brush 25 is repeatedly rotated forward/backward to remove the sheet 50 wound around the rotary brush 25. The sheet is automatically removed by increasing the suction force of an electric blower and using the force. In this way, the sheet 50 wound around the surface of the rotary brush 25 can be removed without a user touching the sheet, and the highly convenient vacuum cleaner can be provided.
