A video display device includes: a recording unit which records data such as a video content; a dynamic image reproduction unit which reproduces a dynamic image; a still image reproduction unit which reproduces a still image; a display unit; an interest degree estimation unit which estimates user interest; a display control unit which controls thumbnail display in accordance with an estimated interest degree; and an operation unit as a user interface. The video display device controls a video content list display so that the display content can be modified in accordance with the user interest for the video content while displaying the contents in a list without degrading the list and visibility.
