Spandex fiber having chlorine resistance is provided to maintain property of a polyurethane polymer and to be used effectively as socks and a swimming suit etc. Spandex fiber having chlorine resistance includes hydromagnesite removing combined water of 0.1-10wt% in contradiction to a polyurethane polymer. The hydromagnesite is coated with a coating agent and the weight ratio of the processed hydromagnesite and the coating agent is 1:0.1-10. The coating agent is one or more compounds selected from the group consisting of aliphatic alcohol, fatty acids, fatty acid salt, an aliphatic ester, a phosphoric ester, styrene/maleic anhydride copolymers and their derivatives, a silane coupling agent, a titanate coupling agent, a polyorganosiloxane, a polyorganohydrogensiloxane and melamine based compound. |
