<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal for enabling a user to know a battery charging state even in an energy-saving mode, and to provide a light emission part controlling method. <P>SOLUTION: The mobile terminal has a controller to set an operating mode to an energy-saving mode when charging a battery, and a light emitter. The controller controls a light emitter to emit light in the energy-saving mode.
