<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet recording body which combines good ink absorbency with good image quality and high glossiness and which is excellent in a printer transportation property, transportation scratching resistance and coating layer cleavage resistance and further has good productivity. <P>SOLUTION: On a support, the ink jet recording body has at least one layer of an ink fixing layer and at least one layer of a gloss developing layer in order from a support side.
