PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate access to a drive by uniquely recognizing a drive and a drive number by a control device to which a driver being an external apparatus is connected. SOLUTION: The control device 10 installed in a sewing machine 100 is provided with: an external storage means 60 equipped with a storage part 61 for storing an application program and unique ID information 62; a USB terminal 11 for connecting the external storage means 60; a USB controller 12 for detecting that the external storage means 60 has been connected to the USB terminal 11; a drive number application means 51 for automatically applying a drive number to the external storage means 60; an access control means 52 for performing access by designating the external storage means 60 based on the drive number; a management information storage processing part 53 for grouping and storing the ID information 62 and the drive number; and a discrimination means 54 for discriminating whether or not the ID information 62 is stored in the management information storage processing part 53.
