PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic toner excellent in a storage property and fixing characteristic obtained by a method having a process of granulating a raw material in an aqueous medium, and a production method therefor. SOLUTION: Provided are the electrophotographic toner obtained by a method comprising a process of granulating a raw material including a polyester in an aqueous medium, wherein the polyester is obtained by condensation polymerization of an alcohol component containing 20-100 mol% of an aliphatic polyhydric alcohol (alcohol A) having two or more secondary carbon atoms bonded with a hydroxyl group and a carboxylic acid component, and a production method therefor.
