The invention provides a structural member having an excellent ability to prevent the nonspecific adsorption of a biomolecule and a labeling substance to the surface of a substrate, and a method of producing the structural member. The structural member includes a substrate and a polymer present on a surface of the substrate, in which the polymer is formed from a polymer of a specific multi-vinyl monomer, and has a crosslinked structure.
