A grid-interactive electric power system is provided to improve system availability by controlling a maximum value and quality of output power. A grid-interactive electric power system includes an electric energy generating unit to produce DC power, an electric energy storage unit to stores the energy generated from the electric energy generating unit, a system power supply unit(50) to supply a commercial AC power delivered from the outside, and an inverter(30). While the electric energy generating unit generates DC current, the inverter supplies power using MPPT(Maximum Power Point Tracking) and PQC(Power Quality Control). While the electric energy generating unit does not generate DC current, the inverter supplies power using the power stored in the electric energy storage unit for PQC.
