PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method for a condensation system capable of appropriately controlling pressure fluctuation generated in a facility regardless of a change in the tide height of a flow-in seawater and maintaining a load applied to the entire condensation system at a constant level, and a control system for the condensation system. SOLUTION: The control system 1 for the condensation system is provided with a condenser 10 for cooling and condensing steam discharged from a steam turbine provided in a power generation facility; a circulating pump 11 for supplying cooling water to the condenser 10; and a cooling pipe 12 for making cooling water to flow into the condenser 10 via the circulating pump 11. The control system 1 for the condensation system is further provided with a pressure sensor 15 for detecting the outlet pressure of the condenser 10; a bypass passage 22 communicated with the cooling pipe 12 and adjusting pressure fluctuation inside the condenser 10; a bypass valve 23 provided in the bypass passage 22 and opened and closed according to the pressure fluctuation in the condenser 10; an outlet valve 16 for adjusting the outlet pressure of the condenser 10; and a control means 30 for controlling the outlet valve 16 of the condenser 10 according to displacement information on the tide height of seawater supplied from the circulating pump 11 as cooling water and a value of outlet pressure detected by the pressure sensor 15.
