PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roll cleaner capable of surely preventing the formation of slack on an adhesive tape with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: When an adhesive tape 451 is returned to an adhesive tape replenishment roll 4, a connection mechanism 34 of a cleaning roll 3 connects a first roll tube 32 to a first gear 33 and, when the adhesive tape 451 is fed to the cleaning roll 3, the connection mechanism disconnects the first roll tube 32 from the first gear 33; a first friction sliding mechanism 46 of the adhesive tape replenishment roll 4 allows the sliding rotation of a second roll tube 44 relative to the roll body 42; and a second friction sliding mechanism 47 has a transmission member 40 for suppressing the rotation of the roll body 42 relative to a second support shaft 41 and operatively connecting the first gear 33 with a second gear 43; wherein the number of teeth of the second gear 43 is set smaller than the number of teeth of the first gear 33.
