PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resonator for ultrasonic machining and an ultrasonic machine which enable soldering or cleaning to be performed adequately. SOLUTION: A working fluid 3 is put in a liquid tank 1 such that the level of the working fluid 3 is set below the opening of a working tank 10. The level of part of the working fluid 3 is adjusted above the opening of the working tank 10 of the resonator 8 by high-speed drive of an adjusting mechanism 6 so that part of the working fluid 3 is taken in from the liquid tank 1 into the working tank 10. The part taken in of the working fluid is separated from the working fluid 3 in the liquid tank 1 and becomes still in the working tank 10. Part 16 to be machined of a workpiece 14 is immersed in the working fluid in the working tank 10 so as to be subjected to soldering or cleaning, in a state of the resonator 9 resonating with ultrasonic vibration transmitted from a vibrator 11. In order to transfer part of the working fluid 3 from the liquid tank 1 to the working tank 10, a liquid level adjuster is put in the working fluid 3 or the working fluid 3 raised by driving the adjusting mechanism 6 is guided through a pipe.
