PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article excellent in absorbing property of bodily waste and effectively preventing the bodily waste from returning. SOLUTION: The absorbent article 1 according to the present invention has an absorbent body 22, a top sheet 18 arranged so as to cover the front surface of the absorbent body 22 and of which at least a part is comprised of a liquid-permeable material, and a back sheet 20 arranged in the rear surface of the absorbent body 22 and comprising a liquid-impermeable material, the absorbent body 22 is constituted by forming hole portions 15 from the front surface to the rear surface of the absorbent body 22 in an excreting region corresponding to at least the excreting portion of the wearer, the top sheet 18 is arranged in the front surface of the absorbent body 22, a diffusing sheet 23 is arranged in the rear surface of the absorbent body 22 so as to cover at least the opening portions of the hole portions 15 in the excreting region, and a water-repellent sheet 24 is arranged above the diffusing sheet 23 and in the region behind the excreting region when wearing.
