A structure for effecting a seal between the top 22 of a convertible motor vehicle and the windshield headers 17 comprises a deformable retaining strip 37, a body, e.g. of extruded rubber 30 extending along one side of strip 37 adjacent the surface 25 of the top 22 to be sealed, and around one edge of the strip and across a portion of the opposite side of the strip adjacent the surface 17 of the windshield header 12 to be sealed, the strip 37 and the body 30 being secured near the other end of the strip as by screws 38 to the top header member 19. The body 30 includes a cavity portion 31 adjacent the windscreen header and one or more ribs 28 for contact with the windscreen header surface. |
