FIELD: weaponry. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed set of invention relates to armored shields for personnel. The proposed method of producing armored shield comprises formation of a stack by laying facing layers impregnated with a synthetic binder onto the substrate, a layer of ceramic plates and ballistic layers impregnated with the like synthetic binder and made in aramide fabric. The said method comprises also impregnation of aforesaid layers with a binder, its weight content making 35 to 50 percent by weight, and hardening of the produced stack under pressure. Note here that the said ceramic plate layers are arranged in rows, the latter being shifted relative to each other by half a plate to form steps in the plates rows along the edges and to form peripheral zone with no plates. Note also that the said plates are glued together, while the steps in the plates rows are filled with triangular ceramic plates glued therein. The aforesaid peripheral zone having no plates is filled with aramide fabric ballistic layers impregnated with the binder, the said fabric total thickness exceeding that of the ceramic plate by 0.4 to 0.8 mm and having the binder content less by 30 to 45% by weight than that in the aramide fabric ballistic layer laid on the layers of ceramic plates. ^ EFFECT: higher manufacturability of armored shields and higher efficiency of armored shield. ^ 6 cl, 5 dwg |
