The invention can be used in mechanical engineering in particular for machining by vibration cutting, materials, mainly hard-to-cut steels, alloys, tough non-ferrous metals, composite and other materials. The aim of the invention is to increase cutting accuracy. The inventive method consists in rotating a workpiece, translationally displacing a cutting tool, adjusting the oscillating motion of the movable working part of the cutting tool by means of cutting resistance forces acting on mutually perpendicular oscillating circuits, each of which consists of the movable working part of the cutting tool, elastic elements and a body, and in forming at least one pair of parallel oscillating circuits of each type by providing an additional symmetrical oscillating circuit. The movable part of the cutting tool performs axial and parallel to the workpiece axis vibrations and/or radial and vertical to the workpiece axis vibrations. Each oscillating circuit operates in the axial and/or radial direction. |
