A fuel cell coupler is provided with a socket main body (32) arranged in a fuel cell, and a valve mechanism arranged inside the socket main body. The fuel cell coupler is also provided with a socket section (4) to which a nozzle section (8) mounted on a fuel cartridge is removably connected. The socket section (4) is protruded toward the inside of the socket main body (32), and is provided with a nozzle holding mechanism (43) having a hook section (44) which can retract toward the outside of the socket main body (32), and an elastic member (45) which applies pressing force to the hook section (4) to hold the nozzle section (8) and permits the hook section (44) to retract.
