MULTI-VOLUME RENDERING OF SINGLE MODE DATA IN MEDICAL DIAGNOSTIC IMAGING

A multi-volume rendering of single mode data in a medical diagnostic image is provided to process and display data obtained by the same mode through a plurality of independent rendering paths. A memory(14) stores one or more data sets showing three dimensional volume. At least one data set is outputted from the same image mode. A processor(12) volume-renders a first two-dimensional expression and a second two-dimensional expression of the volume from at least one data set. The processor couples the first two-dimensional expression and the second two-dimensional expression to the coupled two-dimensional expression. A display unit(16) displays the coupled two-dimensional expression as an image. At least one data set includes a first data set and a second data set differently from the same image mode. The first and second two-dimensional expressions are rendered differently.
