<p>Welding a seam between two structural components includes placing first and second structural components together, preparing auxiliary welding material, and welding the first and second structural components using the auxiliary welding material upon the introduction of heat. The welding material is placed in the seam area before welding. The shape of welding material is chosen to partially match the shape of welding seam. Independent claims are also included for: (A) a welding device (6) for carrying out the above process, comprising a holding device (7) for holding the two structural components (1, 3, 4) and the auxiliary welding material (5, 5*') in such way that a shaped auxiliary welding material remains inserted in the area between the structural components during the welding process; and (B) an auxiliary welding material formed with a shape matching the welding seam (8).</p> |
