PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device in which ghost is hardly recognized by using a sampling pulse longer than a signal duration period per one dot and employing a phase expansion driving system. SOLUTION: A flip-flop circuit 31 included in a built-in shift register 305 of a video signal line drive circuit 300 is connected to analog switches of odd-numbered video signal lines SL1, SL3, SL5, SL7, while a flip-flop circuit 32 is connected only to analog switches of even-numbered video signal lines SL2, SL4, SL6, SL8, so that adjacent two video signal lines are not simultaneously charged with video signals. By this configuration, even when a ghost image is induced on the display by use of a long sampling pulse, the ghost image is induced in every other line and hardly visible, which improves display performances of the display device.
