PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a differential device capable of arranging a differential mechanism at a center side in a rotary shaft direction of the differential device, and miniaturizing a differential case. SOLUTION: This differential device 1 comprises a differential case 7 having boss parts 3, 5 supported by a carrier via a bearing on both sides in an axial direction, a differential mechanism 15 with a pinion 9 and side gears 11, 13, a cam ring 19 intermitting the side gear 11 via an intermitting part 17, and an actuator 21 actuating the cam ring 19. The differential mechanism 15 is arranged between the cam ring 19 and the actuator 21, and the cam ring 19 and the actuator 21 are connected to each other by an operation member 23. The actuator 21 has a movable member 25, and a conversion member 27 for oppositely moving the movable member 25 and the cam ring 19. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
