PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of acquiring an image of high picture quality while maintaining a fast continuous shooting speed. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus which acquires subject image data by photoelectrically converting light from a subject by an imaging element having a column circuit includes a column noise low-frequency component calculator which calculates a low-frequency component of column noise from noise readout data of a first horizontal desired line of the imaging element, a clip processor which performs clip processing on noise readout data of a second horizontal desired line of the imaging element with a desired threshold based upon the low-frequency component of the column noise, and a column noise correction data calculator which calculates column noise correction data by horizontally averaging the clip-processed noise data of the second desired line.
