PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat for a vehicle in which a tilt-down operation is possible and a favorable sense of a use of the seat can be maintained by operating only a seat back when adjusting the inclination of the seat back in the seated state of an occupant. SOLUTION: The seat for the vehicle is equipped with a frame member 12, a front link 24, a rear link 28 with one end rotatably connected to the seat back and the other end connected to a seat cushion movable within a certain range, a first lock mechanism 40 arranged capable of locking the movement of the seat cushion in the forward/rearward direction, and a second lock mechanism 50 arranged capable of locking the movement of the rear link 28 with respect to the seat cushion. During a normal operation of a reclining device for adjusting the inclination of the seat back during a seated state, the first lock mechanism is maintained in a locked state and the second lock mechanism is maintained in an unlocked state. Further, during a tilt-down operation, the first lock mechanism is maintained in an unlocked state and the second lock mechanism is kept in a locked state. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
