<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for preventing the illegal leakage of information. <P>SOLUTION: This electronic bin tag system 1 is provided with an electronic bin tag 5 for displaying information related to merchandise; and a portable remote control device 43 for switching information to be displayed by the electronic bin tag 5. The remote control device 43 transmits an infrared signal including a stored prescribed code to the electronic bin tag 5. The electronic bin tag 5 stores a prescribed code corresponding to the code stored by the remote control device 43. The electronic bin tag 5 compares a code included in a signal received from the outside with a code stored therein, and when the both codes are the same, the electronic bin tag 5 changes the information displayed thereon to other type of information, and when the codes are different, the electronic bin tag 5 does not change the information displayed thereon to any other information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
