<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container having a plurality of separable accommodating sections, the container being designed so as to prevent, as much as possible, sharp edges from being formed on the cut edges of the separated accommodating sections, with the results that a user may be injured by them, and to provide a method for manufacturing the container. <P>SOLUTION: A container body 1 is configured such that a plurality of the accommodating sections 1a and 1b are connected together via a flange 3 formed along the peripheral edges of the openings of the accommodating sections 1a and 1b, and a downward extending rim 4 is formed by bending the external peripheral edge side of the flange 3. In the container body 1, a dividing line 2 is formed in the flange 3 between the adjacent accommodating sections 1a and 1b.
