Damage on glass plates due to concentration of stress on the opposite ends in the width direction is reduced and collapse of cargo of glass plate lamination is prevented while employing such a packing form as a retaining bar is arranged across the glass plate lamination in the width direction and then the opposite ends of the retaining bar are fastened and held on a pallet. A retaining bar (4) is arranged across a glass plate lamination G on a pallet (2) in the width direction, and the opposite ends of the retaining bar (4) projecting outward from the opposite sides of the glass plate lamination G in the width direction are fastened by a fastening member (5) to be pulled to the pallet (2) side thus holding the glass plate lamination G on the pallet (2). In such a glass plate packing body (1), a press board (6) is interposed between the retaining bar (4) and the glass plate lamination G to touch both of them, and the press board (6) is brought into contact with the central part in the width direction excepting the opposite ends of the glass plate lamination G in the width direction. |
