<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of surely suppressing a reducing agent added to exhaust gas from a reducing agent adding valve to supply it to an exhaust emission control device from leaking outside from a free connection member in the case where the free connection member such as a ball joint for rockably connecting exhaust pipes with each other is provided in an exhaust gas passage of the internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: An NSR 10 and a DPNR 11 are serially provided in the exhaust pipe 5 of the internal combustion engine 1 and the ball joint 3 is provided between them. In this case, a fuel adding valve 14 for adding a reducing agent to the exhaust gas in a NOx reducing process of the DPNR 11, a SOx poisoning recovery process or a PM regeneration process is provided at a downstream side of the ball joint 3 in the exhaust pipe 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
