PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a cleaning blade having an improved wear resistance, not causing defective images over a long period, even in using polymerized toner. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the cleaning blade includes: a prepolymer producing process of producing a prepolymer by reacting a diisocyanate compound with polyol compound; and a molding process of molding a sheet-like polyurethane elastic body by mixing and reacting the prepolymer with hardner components. The polyol compound comprises polycaprolactone diol (polyol P1) having an average molecular weight of 1,500 to 4,500 and polycaprolactone diol (polyol P2) having an average molecular weight of 3,500 to 4,500. At the prepolymer producing step, a pseudo-prepolymer containing an isocyanate group (NCL group) is produced by using the polyol P1.
